The VCM II scanner is connected to the vehicle's OBD2 port using the included OBD2 cable. The scanner is then connected to a computer via the USB cable. The software IDS is installed on the computer and opened to access the diagnostic functions. The VCM II scanner is capable of reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes, live data-streaming, programming and installation of new ECUs, and other dealer functions. The software IDS is available in multiple languages and can be updated using a CD. The VCM II scanner is compatible with most 16 pin Ford vehicles, including new 2022 models.
